Founded in 1969, this Musical Instrument Shop is proudly owned by veterans and operated by a dedicated family.

A Family of Repairmen

In the summer of 1969, our cozy music emporium first saw the light of day. Pete Rodriguez, having returned to San Antonio from Dallas, embarked on the adventure of opening a repair shop for musical instruments right in his very own garage. Fast forward to 1983, when our establishment made a significant leap forward by expanding its premises to accommodate more equipment and even adding a front counter. Known affectionately as "Pete's" among friends, our Musical Instrument Service quickly became an indispensable part of the local community, renowned for its exceptional maintenance service, comprehensive repairs, and one-of-a-kind customizations.

Once the store was inaugurated, Pete's spouse, Arje, and their children, Hugo and Leo, persevered there over the passage of time. Hugo, their eldest son, assumed the role of General Manager from 1987 until his unfortunate demise in 2020. Several grandchildren also contributed to the store's operations. Nevertheless, in 2022, Eric, Hugo's eldest child, made a comeback to the establishment and established his own venture known as Musical Instrument Service, LLC.

Currently, the Rodriguez family and other musicians we have known since childhood are the proud owners and operators of the music shop. Pete, who often works on horns and entertains customers, can still be found here most of the time. As a part of this cherished tradition, we take great pride in delivering exceptional musical instrument services to our friends and the community.
